Sell-out crowd for the Coffs Coast Charity Walk

THE Coffs Coast Charity Walk benefitting the Westpac Life Saver Rescue Helicopter on Sunday is officially a sell-out.

Participant numbers have reached the maximum of 550 people, a day before the scheduled closing date.

"Registrations have been open since March 1 and rose quickly in the last few weeks catching some people off guard," the helicopter service's Kellie Pinkerton said

"We cap all of our events for safety reasons and our priority is to run a safe, controlled event to ensure participants have the best possible experience; especially in the first year of an event.

Ms Pinkerton said participant numbers would increase next year, but there will still be a cap on numbers.

"People can email their details to us to be included on the 2014 mailing list," Ms Pinkerton said.

"Or they can be part of the fun by volunteering along the route or at the finish line event.

"We are delighted with the response from the Coffs community - thanks to all for your support."
