Coffs BRE news

OUR July competition was held last weekend and was our first for the year. Numbers were down on previous comps and it was a shame to see no sub juniors signed on.

We would like to see more kids fishing our comps which are great fun and no child goes home empty handed regardless of whether they catch anything or not, so come on Mums and Dads, get the kids outdoors and fishing.

If you need any information you can contact Wayne on 6658 1976.

Winners for the comp were Champion Out of Hours Ron Lee, Champion Male Nathan Newell, Champion Female Rebekah Runge, Champion Junior Emily Meyers with runner up Trent Timms.

With our secret weights that we used for this comp it was good to see the juniors win some of the species prizes.

Bream Trent Timms, whiting Rob Taylor, flathead Rebekah Runge, tailor Nathan Newell and luderick Emily Meyers were winners.

Our next comp will be held on August 4-5 which will also be our annual general meeting.

The quarterly Mid North Coast outing will be held on August 26-27, hosted by Coffs BRE.

Anyone who is a member of our club and is interested in fishing in these competitions, all it costs is $12 for adults and $1 for juniors for the year.

That price includes insurance that covers for a year and allows you to claim NSW records if you are able to catch one big enough.

Just talk to your club representative.
