Coffs becoming conference capital

IN a further boost to local tourism, the Coffs Coast has won hosting rights to another major conference.

In the latest local industry newsletter, Coffs Coast Marketing's Glen Caldwell has announced the NSW Local Government Rates (Revenue) Conference will soon be calling the region home.

“This is another great outcome from the conference team in securing an event which will deliver positive business and economic outcomes,” Mr Caldwell said.

“Final detail of the conference is being finalised and it will follow the recent Australian Forest Contractors Association conference conducted in June.”

In other news, Coffs Coast Tourism recently exhibited at the Event Connect Queensland events and conference expo.

Mr Caldwell said the next travel expo featuring the Coffs Coast would be the Australian Business Events Expo in Sydney later this month.

“Television coverage over the past weeks has also been very strong, with a second episode of Sydney Weekender that aired on June 26,” Mr Caldwell said.

“The same day, also on the 7 Network, Saturday Disney featured a range of Coffs Coast products.

“Coffs Coast Marketing has also hosted a range of media over the past month including APN, 9MSN, and National Geographic journalists along with Channel 9's Today show reading the weather live from Coffs Harbour,” he said.
