Coffs auction for refugees

IF someone in your family has a huge room and a passion for music, an auction later today could be the chance to pick up the ideal Christmas gift.

Rueben and Margaret Fox will be submitting 20 reconditioned pianos under the hammer at their shopfront in Hurley Drive.

Included in the offering is a nine foot concert grand which has been rehabilitated to perfect condition.

Other pianos were built in England, Germany, the United States, Japan and here in Australia and are up to 60-years old.

The gift of music will linger well after the auction which kicks off at 1pm.

Reuben and Margaret have long held a keen interest in a school for Liberian refugees at Conakry in the Guinea Republic on the West African coast.

A percentage of the auction proceeds will go to helping support the school’s program.
