Coffee champ visits Woolgoolga

THE youngest World Latte Champion ever will be in Woolgoolga this weekend to demonstrate some of his caffeinated wizardry.

Jack Hannah, who is also managing director of coffee supplier, Jack and the Bean, will be the special guest at Bonetto’s Café in Woolgoolga next Saturday from 7.30am-1.30pm.

Mr Hannah’s coffee won the 2010 Golden Bean Espresso and he is also a certified Barista judge and an international espresso training consultant.

On Saturday, he will be spending his time at the café showing some of the techniques that helped him win the World Latte Champion such as crafting intricate milk froth patterns behind his back .

Since Mr Hannah won the championships in 2007, his business has continuously expanded and he now supplies world class specialty coffees to selected cafes.

Bonetto’s is one of the few suppliers of Jack and the Bean coffee in regional Australia and it looks like the local café is on a winner.

“We concentrate on the flavour of the blend by introducing a scientific approach to roasting,” Mr Hannah said. “In doing so, our coffee has consistently year in and out performed well at Golden Bean and various other competitions.

“Our selective customers must be quality focused, as this is crucial to our success in maintaining our standard of quality across the board.”
