Coach may cop suspension

SEND-offs are costly at any time.

But today will be a testing time for Macksville captain-coach Grant Coleman who must decide whether an early guilty plea and a possible suspension is his best course of action, or he can contest the charge of allegedly using a high tackle on Bellingen prop Jude Erskine.

“Mate, I won’t know which way to go until I look at the video,” he said yesterday.

With his outfit just as delicately perched on the ladder, Bellingen’s Josh White shares his rival’s frustration.

“I’ve just got Bertie (Gray) back and this happens,” he scowled.

Under the new rules, both players receive an extra 24 hours leeway before being asked to lodge their pleas.
