Clothes a blast from the past

THERE were a lot of laughs and even a few tears at Saturday's Coffs Harbour Vintage Fashion Fair.

Organiser Jeanette Luke said everyone had a wonderful time, especially some of the older women who found themselves flooded with memories as the outfits paraded past.

"For some it was very emotional seeing the clothes they had worn as young women," Ms Luke said.

"Often there were three generations there and the grandparents were telling their grandchildren stories."

She said while the event was still a newcomer to the Coffs calendar there was enough support and new ideas for it to continue.

"The clothes are so gorgeous and when you find something that fits you, it's like it's been made for you."
