Clive Palmer turns movie maker for Titanic II love story

LOOK out James Cameron - Clive Palmer's got a Titanic movie of his own in the works.

The billionaire mining magnate has registered a new business to make a movie of his ambitious Titanic II.

The mining magnate, political party leader and all-round rich guy tweeted the news this morning.

"This film is going to be all about falling in love," Mr Palmer told the Sunshine Coast Daily later on.

Mr Palmer released plans for his vessel in June last year, saying it would have nine decks with first, second and third class plus officer and crew accommodation.

The original Titanic sank on April 15 1912, killing more than 1500 people.

Mr Palmer said Titanic II would sail from China to England before her maiden passenger voyage retracing its original journey.

The movie will coincide with the maiden voyage of Titanic II.
