Classic fishing event at Coffs

ONE of Coffs Harbour’s signature events kicks off tomorrow when as many as 250 anglers converge on the city to fish for glory.

The Coffs Harbour Easter Fishing Classic starts at 6am on Good Friday and will run until noon on Sunday, with entries taken until 9am tomorrow.

Weigh-ins will be held on Friday and Saturday from 1pm to 3pm and on Sunday from 11am to 1pm.

“This will be a great opportunity for people to come and have a look at some nice fish,” said Linda Jones, a director at the Coffs Harbour Deep Sea Fishing Club.

“We will also be having a charity fish auction at 1pm on Sunday when proceeds will benefit Marine Rescue Coffs.”
