City glam team beautifies Miss World Australia finalist

MISS World Australia finalist Emma Peterson was in town this week to have a talented Toowoomba team beautify her for her competition portfolio.

Ms Peterson lives at the Gold Coast but chose to come to our city to have her portfolio photos taken by Cathy Smith.

Her glam team also consisted of Pure Hair hairdresser Michelle Riley and make-up by Luminosa's Ellie Burgoyne.

Based in Toowoomba, Ms Smith specialises in model portfolios and was honoured to be chosen to do such an important job.

"We all loved stepping outside of our comfort zone to create these new and amazing images," she said.

"It makes it easier when we have such talented, local, creative people around us - it is inspirational.

"World is not just about being beautiful on the outside. It is about being a great human being.

"The moment I met this girl I knew she had something special to give. Emma, all you have to do now is go and win."

Ms Riley said it was a huge deal to be chosen as part of the glam team.

"It's a big coup for the community to have models travel to receive our city's services," she said.

Miss World Australia will be chosen later this year.
