Chopper makes emergency dash

THE Westpac Rescue helicopter was used to transport a man to Coffs Harbour Health Campus this afternoon following an incident near Bellingen.

The man aged in his 30's was believed to be riding a trail bike at the Promised Land when he lost control and collided with a fence.

Paramedics treated him at the scene for broken bones and internal injuries before being airlifted to hospital.

He is said to be still undergoing treatment and in a stable condition.
