Chop, chop, as Festival honours Glenreagh’s rural heritage
THIS time next Saturday chances are the Orara Valley village of Glenreagh will be buzzing with excitement as it holds its 10th annual Timber Festival.
In honour of the town's timber heritage, one of the day's features is a round of the NSW State Championship Woodchop.
Another feature is a flare drop (weather permitting) by Coffs Harbour Skydivers around mid-morning, by which stage the Glenreagh recreation grounds should be throbbing with visitors.
The festival has a definite focus on the town's rural heritage with fence-post splitting, blacksmithing and sheep dog trials along with displays of vintage farm machinery, cars, motorcycles and buggies and carriages.
And there will be a market and food and produce stalls.

Glenreagh Mountain Railway site will be open also.
