Chinese travellers get a taste of the Coffs Coast
LEADING Chinese travel companies have been raising a glass to the Coffs Coast as part of the Legendary Pacific Coast promotion of the area.
The tour, highlighting the potential of the area for Chinese travellers comes on the back of a contingent of tourism experts from up and down the coast successfully selling the NSW coast to the world recently.
At the Australian Tourism Exchange in Sydney late last month representatives, including some from the Coffs Coast, Bellingen and Nambucca showed off the beauty and ease visiting our destinations to more than 600 international travel buyers.
"We have truly relaunched The Legendary Pacific Coast to the world's travel distributors, a global community of 39 countries from east and west with around 450 seller companies, 550 buyers meeting and doing business." Legendary Pacific Coast's international marketing consultant Russell Mills said.
Representatives of regional tourism bodies have worked with the campaign to increase international visitor numbers along the Sydney to Brisbane route.
The coast was shown off through eight booths staffed by 14 people at the Australian Tourism Exchange which is the largest international travel trade show of its kind in the southern hemisphere.
