Child reportedly stung by jellyfish

FIRST REPORTS: A CHILD has reportedly been stung by a jellyfish while swimming at a Magnetic Island beach.

The Queensland Ambulance Service reported they were treating a child for a reported jellyfish sting at Picnic Bay about 1pm.

It's understood lifeguards were also assisting the child.

The child's condition and the severity of the sting is unknown.
