Changes to pedestrian, cycling routes along West Creek

CHANGES to pedestrian and cycling routes on James St near West Creek will be in place from next month.

Telstra works involving intermittent day and night works will occur for about four weeks from  September 2 until the end of October 2019, weather permitting.

Pedestrians and cyclists will be directed around the worksites by cones or bollards and pedestrian signage, using existing footpaths where possible.

The works will involve drilling and trenching for conduit and cable installations for Telstra and NBN.

Vehicle traffic lanes will not be impacted, however paid parking facilities west of Pechey St may be temporarily unavailable.

The works will be completed in two stages, beginning on the northern side of James Street between PCYC and Prescott St, then progressing to the southern side between Water St and just west of Pechey St.

Cyclists and pedestrians are asked to follow the signage and any directions from contractors undertaking the works.

For the latest information on traffic disruptions, visit the QLDTraffic website at www.qldtraffic.qld.gov.au or call 13 19 40.
