Champagne Party tipped over shorter distance at Allman Park
Warwick Turf Club committee member Jim Costello has come up with some tips for the TAB race meeting at Allman Park on Friday.
RACING: Acceptances are down a little on expectations but the change of venue (from Toowoomba to Warwick) at short notice and hot dry weather does not help.
Horses and people don't like it.
Not an easy program with even fields and no stand outs.
Race 1 3.07pm, 1100m
Select No.4 Dynamisante from No.1 Haiku's Way.
The No.4 is first up but the breed go quick early so she should lead and be part to run down.
Race 2 3.42pm, 1200m
Select No.7 Champagne Party from No.6 Daisy's Apart.
No.7 has consistent form and comes back to 1200m after failing to run on over 1400m last start.
The No.6 is widely drawn but still appears to be the best of the others on disclosed form.
Race 3 4.17pm, 1200m
Select No.8 Surface to Surface from No.1 All Up Tee Kay.
The No.8 has been close up in better company recently and a half brother to a Stradbroke winner.
The No.1 won a trial in slow time at Cranbourne before coming to the Ben Currie stable. Should be up to this race.
Race 4 4.54pm, 1350m
Select No.2 Kota Flyer from No.1 Tisani Magic.
Both drawn well with the No.2 likely to be stronger at the weights.
Race 5 5.35pm, 1350m
Select No.1 Pork and Beans from No.2 Heart of Kings. The No.1 is down from a BM65 at Doomben to this class one and looks a promising type. Has the weight to carry but should go close. Heart of Kings is first up since July but the Tony Sears stable usually have them fit first up.
Race 6 6.15pm, 1500m
Select No.1 L'il Rodge from No.3 Unique Mistique. The No.1 deserves to break through after four seconds from the last four starts.
Has been carrying big weights and is well drawn.
The No.3 is a winner here at the distance and is very consistent.
