Chamber golf day a winner for all

THE rain stayed away long enough on Friday afternoon for 140 players to enjoy the chamber of commerce golf day at Bonville Golf Resort.

There were 35 local businesses represented in the annual 4-man ambrose event that is one of the highlights on the chamber’s calendar.

The skill level varied from those who have thought about turning pro right through to the absolute beginner but no matter what kind of day each had on the course, all agreed that it was again a fun event.

The major prize on the day was won by the Central West Community College team of Peter Arnold, Tim Myles, Adam Wood and Peter Wilson.

A hole-in-one on the 11th hole by Paul Gallagher helped the WHK team that also included Rob Caldwell, Craig McGregor and Craig Duly finish in second place.
