Coffs Harbour to host Centrelink games

COFFS Harbour is set to host the 30th Anniversary Centrelink Games from October 31 to November 2.

The Games are expected to see Centrelink staff from across the country compete in events as diverse as touch football, netball, volleyball, softball, tennis, lawn bowls, deep sea fishing, outrigger canoeing and golf.

The organiser of the Games, Coffs Harbour's Nick Lumley, said he expected up to 700 Centrelink staff plus their families and friends to attend and take part.

Nick said Coffs Harbour and the Centrelink Games had a special relationship and it was the second time in 12 years the Games had been held here.

The first event will be the Ross Divett Big Day Out golf tournament at Bonville International Golf Club.
