THE Heritage Bank Business Excellence Awards is a celebration of the business community's contribution to the economic vitality and social fabric of our region and is an important recognition and awards program that celebrates the diversity, innovation and excellence of the region's businesses.

Nominations are now open, and Toowoomba Chamber encourages local businesses who are proud of their business achievements to apply this year.

There are many benefits to getting involved in the awards initiative including: increased profile and networking opportunities, the chance to shine in your niche, access to strategically examine your business, boost in credibility, team bonding and increased team morale, access to four free workshops critically assessing your business.

Applications close on Wednesday, August 27, but don't leave your application too late.

Take the opportunity to apply now and get your application in well before closing date.

The awards gala dinner has a new home for 2019 at the newly renovated and spectacular Goods Shed and will be held on Saturday, October 12.

It will be a red carpet, black tie event that allows businesses to come together to celebrate excellence across the community. We are expecting the 12 award categories to be hotly contested again this year.

The categories are: Tourism, Hospitality, Industry, Professional and Business, Retail, Community and NFP, Innovation, Best Regional Business, Employer of Choice, Future Leader of the Year, Hall of Fame Inductee and the 2019 Business of the Year.

A big thank you to Heritage Bank and all sponsors who support this important initiative.
