Scully set for FISAF world titles

SPORTS aerobics champion Cassie Scully flew out of Australia yesterday, bound for the 2010 FISAF World Aerobic and Fitness championships.

This year’s championship is a three-day event in Eindhoven in the Netherlands and Cassie won her way into the national squad after selection trials held in Sydney last April.

She will join Kylie Thomas and Natasha Melancris as the three Aussie women competing as senior individuals.

In a final pipe opener last month, Cassie took first place as senior individual at the State championships.

Cassie has a new routine to wow the international judges, first tried out in Prague at the European titles earlier in the year.

She believes her new-found mental strength will give her an edge in the fight to become the best in the world.
