Cartoon contest more than just a laugh

DO YOU make your friends laugh with your funny drawings?

Then why not test your skills and enter the Rotary Cartoon Awards.

The Rotary Club of Coffs Harbour City and the Bunker Cartoon Gallery are inviting all satirical artists, budding cartoonists and caricaturists to enter the 26th Rotary Cartoon Awards.

The awards started in 1989 are now considered one of Australia's most prestigious and important cartoon competitions.

Cash prizes of more than $8000 will be awarded in six different categories.

Each year one entry is judged the Cartoon of the Year and receives a total prize of $3000.

Winners will be announced at the awards presentation evening on Saturday September 20 at the Bunker Cartoon Gallery.

A requirement is that entrants agree to donate entered works to the Coffs Cartoon Collection which is one of the largest most comprehensive cartoon collections in the world and of great historic significance.
