Carpark perils in Gatton

Runaway trolleys, car doors and poorly-skilled drivers - it's the risk we all take when parking to go shopping.

Kareena Davey, 23, was the latest to fall victim to the perils of the carpark.

Pulling into a shaded carpark at the Gatton Plaza to do her grocery shopping on Sunday, Kareena returned to find what many fear.

"I went to do the groceries and came back and had a hole and scratches on the rear bumper," she said.

Not only was there damage but nothing left behind to initiate an exchanging of insurance details.

"I'm annoyed that no details were left behind and no one has come forward with anything," she said.

With no CCTV footage of the incident, Mrs Davey has little to no options left but to fix the bumper out of her own pocket.

Mrs Davey appealed to anyone who may have seen the incident on Sunday, which occurred between 1-2pm, to come forward and provide details.

"People were there and it was quite busy when I was there," she said.

"It would've been noisy and people would've heard or seen the car having trouble.

"I want to see if I can get some information and try and find this person otherwise I'll have to find money out of nowhere."

If you saw the incident and can help Kareena out, phone Gatton Police.

She drives a deep red 2010 Holden Cruze.
