Care for sake of humanity

WHEN it comes to access to quality health care, religion and nationality should be meaningless.

It’s this message the Coffs Harbour Council of Churches is spreading with its commitment to raising much-needed funds for the Al Ahli Hospital in Gaza.

Sawtell Anglican Church’s Reverend David Morgan is a driving force of the project after he experienced the oppression of the Palestinian people first hand.

“I went over to Jerusalem in 2008 as part of training with the Diocese of Grafton,” Rev. Morgan said.

“I was moved at the situation and the oppression of the Palestinian people.”

So he decided to raise awareness and funds for the Al Ahli Hospital.

The Coffs Harbour Council of Churches is holding a trivia night tomorrow at Marion Grove Retirement Village to raise much needed funds for the hospital.

Tickets are $10 per person – for bookings phone Rev Morgan on 6658 1626 or 6658 1157.

Or donate through Westpac Bank, account Grafton Diocese Investment Fund/Al Ahli Hospital; BSB 032 537, account number 120498, reference 3930.
