Vehicle falls off the back of a truck on highway

UPDATE: A vehicle dislodged and fell onto the road from a heavy vehicle carrier heading south on the Pacific Highway at approximately 4.40pm yesterday afternoon.

Police attended the scene near Six Mile Lane in Glenugie and the vehicle was put back on the trailer. The matter was handed over to Roads and Maritime Services Heavy Vehicle inspectors to ensure the trailer was safe to continue.

No other vehicles were damaged in the accident and there were no injuries recorded.

There will be no further investigation by police.

EARLIER: A car transporter was involved in an incident in which it may have lost part of its load on the Pacific Highway.

Live Traffic NSW reported a multiple vehicle accident at Six Mile Lane at Glenugie at 5.11pm on Thursday afternoon.

Emergency services including multiple police vehicles and Roads and Maritime Services attended the scene.

Southbound traffic was affected and motorists advised to exercise caution. Motorists observed a ute in a ditch.
