Captains prepare to welcome Will and Kate

AN AUDIENCE with royalty is what awaits Toormina High School captains Laura Devoy and Blake Greenway.

The Year 12 students will get a break from half-yearly exams to attend the Governor and Premier's royal reception at the Opera House for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and their eight-month-old son.

Laura and Blake are amazed they'll join in the welcome for Kate, Wills and George.

"We thought it was an April Fool's joke. The first thing that I thought was, 'Is this real?'," Blake said.

The reception is part of the royal couple's three-week Australasian tour.

"I can't wait, it would also be good for them to get a different experience and visit smaller regional areas like Coffs Harbour," Laura said.
