Cancer Counci praises volunteers

THE Cancer Council says it could not carry out its vital work in Coffs Harbour without the contribution of many local volunteers who support local staff.

Marking National Volunteers Week, it said volunteers played an important role in cancer prevention, support services, attending educational and fundraising events and used their skills and experience to help staff with a range of office duties.
