Campaign to save Dorrigo Show

DORRIGO Show officials are urgently calling for new volunteers to save the show from cancellation.

A staple event on the Dorrigo annual calendar, organisers of the Dorrigo Show say this year's event is unlikely to go ahead - only the second time in the show's 104-year history.

Society president Sally Duckett said despite securing exhibitors, business support and finance, the show was struggling to attract new members.

"A lack of volunteers to run Dorrigo Show has been an ominous and growing shadow over the management committee for several years," Ms Duckett said.

"We desperately need men and women of all ages to fill a variety of roles supervising the various sections of our exhibition."
