Calling beachcombers

A CLEAN Beaches Committee is being formed on the Coffs Coast and Keep Australia Beautiful is calling for beachcombers to come forward and sign-up.

The organisation has made a pitch to the community ahead of a workshop being held in Coffs Harbour next week.

“Do you love the beach? Got concerns about the coast? Want to do something about it? Then get connected with other passionate, like-minded individuals and groups at a free workshop,” Keep Australia Beautiful spokesperson Rosemary Hadaway said.

“If you are involved in improving your local beach environment, or if you would like to see positive improvements to your local beach area then we need you.”

Individuals, schools, businesses, groups and councils who care about the coast have an opportunity to come together to identify areas for improvement and drive local beach projects.

The workshop will be held at the Coffs Harbour Surf Life Saving Club on Tuesday between 10am and noon.
