Cabbie is third off the NSW ranks

WOOLGOOLGA cabbie Neil McKenzie is delighted with his third placing in the NSW Country Taxi Driver of the Year awards.

Neil was one of three finalists in the prestigious awards, which were announced in Sydney on Wednesday night.

“I'm more than happy with how I went,” he said.

He was pipped for first and second by taxi drivers from Kiama and Ulladulla respectively.

Neil brings home $100 worth of fuel vouchers and $700 in cash for his efforts.

He said he and his wife Shelley had enjoyed the night and the people they had met.

“It was great networking with people you only normally talk to on the phone,” Neil said.
