Busby Marou up for three National Indigenous Music Awards

ROCKHAMPTON duo Busby Marou is up for three National Indigenous Music Awards.

Tom Busby and Jeremy Marou have been nominated for National Song of the Year for their singles My Second Mistake and Get You Out of Here and National Album of the Year for their second studio album Farewell Fitzroy, named after Rockhampton's Fitzroy River.

The blues and roots duo has already won APRA, Q Song and Deadly awards.
 


Melbourne's Dan Sultan tops the NIMA nomiations with five nods, followed by Gurrumul Yunugingu who received four nominations.

Jessica Mauboy is up for National Artist of the Year, her only nomination, alongside Sultan, Gurrumul and Shellie Morris.
