Bulls on top as Aussie quick returns to action

QUEENSLAND will be looking for quick wickets against New South Wales when play resumes in their Sheffield Shield clash at the Gabba today.

The Bulls declared at 9-472 on day two after Nathan Reardon was out for 95. Australian fast bowler Ryan Harris (pictured) then struck early in his comeback from knee surgery, removing opener Ryan Carters for just four in the seventh over.

The Blues were in trouble at 4-137, but Sean Abbott (58) and Nic Maddinson (115 not out) steadied the ship, taking the score to 6-217 at the end of the day's play.

Aussie opener Chris Rogers was the star on day two of the match between Victoria and South Australia at the Adelaide Oval, his 103 not out helping the Bushrangers reach 1-201 in reply to the home side's 8-431 declared.

Western Australia was in a commanding position at stumps against Tasmania in Hobart, the home side struggling to 7-170 after the Warriors reached 301 in their first innings.
