Build your fitness while having a blast

ARE you up for the challenge involving roller blades and a fast actioned game?

Women and men from the Woolgoolga and northern beaches area have strapped on their skates and are training hard with Coffs Coast Derby.

Harley Webster, Netti Backhouse, Katherine Walgrave and Katie Evans are all part of the only roller derby club in the area and are part of the Quad Fit program, aiming to teach basic roller skating skills while focusing on building strength and fitness.

"Our program is a great way to learn the basics of roller skating,” Quad Fit coast, Katie Evans from Woolgoolga said.

"We provide a fun, safe and supportive environment for people of all walks of life to come together, learn to skate and be part of our community.

"We've got participants who have absolutely no skating background or much physical fitness - and that is OK! Quad Fit is specifically designed for people who've not skated before.

Quad Fit is a 12 week program designed to teach people basic skating skills, and once completed, participants can stay in the program or move into roller derby-specific training.
