Bueno receives award online

MACKSVILLE Sea Eagles have created another first in local sport by using the internet to deliver news of an award.

International forward Remi Bueno made a huge impression during his short stint in Australia but returned to France just before the Sea Eagles’ final match.

He was suitably impressed when a link-up was organised so that he could participate in the club’s annual prize night and his name was read out for an award by captain-coach Grant Coleman.

The biggest winner of the season was livewire utility Luke Cartwright, who took three awards, including player of the year.

A Group 2 representative earlier in the season, Cartwright received his trophy from special guest Nathan Blacklock.
