Brooke's back with a bombshell
SHE knew it was a slim chance, but Brooke Blurton was still nervous about seeing her ex again on Bachelor in Paradise.
The Perth beauty was a favourite to win the heart of Nick 'Honey Badger' Cummins before she sensationally chose to leave the reality dating show in its final weeks last year.
Cummins then went on to make headlines around the world when he failed to pursue a relationship with either of his two finalists in what was supposed to be a fairy tale grand finale.
In Ten's tropical spin-off, which returns for its second season, stars from past seasons of The Bachelor and The Bachelorette meet in Fiji and must couple up to avoid elimination.
"I was really nervous about Nick being there," Brooke says. "He wasn't thank God, but if that was going to be a situation then I would have been questioning him if he was."
With a sneak peek teasing a major revelation, fans are waiting to see what bombshell Brooke will drop about the Honey Badger.
"It was something that was eating at me a little bit," she says. "It's something I just held on to for too long.
"Cat and Cas are contestants from last season I'm good friends with and it just a bit of girl chat, talking about last season and how it all went - there were a couple of things that were unanswered.
"I'm feeling super nervous about it, but also OK with it. It's something that needs to be said. In terms of me saying Nick is going to hate me (for it), I know I can't please everyone. I'm fine with the disclosure. It's nothing too heavy and I'm excited to let it go."
The youth worker says she surprised herself when she signed on to Bachelor in Paradise.
"I didn't find love the first time and what really intrigued me with Paradise was the other contestants," she says. "Paradise will just be about going with the flow, seeing who's there, who I'd like to meet and get to know, and exploring my options."
The 24-year-old, who revealed on The Bachelor she has dated women in the past, is open to finding a connection with a man or a woman and promotional footage hints at a kiss between her and Alex Nation.
"I would never close that option off. I know how valuable a connection is," she says. "I would never say I wouldn't connect with a women. I didn't know who would be there, so I'll be keeping my options open."
But on a show notorious for love triangles, Brooke says she won't date more than one person at a time.
"I'm a one-track-minded person. Having a connection with someone, I want to develop that then and there."
Bachelor in Paradise premieres on Tuesday at 7.30pm on Ten.
