Broncos CEO tackles the biggest battle of his life

BRONCOS' chief executive Paul White has advised the Board of the Brisbane Broncos that he will take a short leave of absence for treatment for a health issue.

Mr White told the Board his aim was to return to full duties in the near future.

Broncos' chairman, Dennis Watt said White, who is from Rockhampton, addressed players and staff this morning to update and reassure them about his upcoming treatment.

The ABC reported today that White was diagnosed with a primary brain tumour two weeks ago and was determined to win the biggest battle of his life.

He starts treatment next Wednesday and said while the tumour was treatable, he would need to undergo several months treatment, particularly intensive over the next six weeks.
