Brisbane road tolls going up, second time in six months

MOTORISTS will pay more to use South East Queensland's tollways from tomorrow.

A car trip through the Clem7 tunnel will now cost $4.78, with the toll rising for the second time in six months following its purchase by Queensland Motorways.

The infrastructure company recently bought the tunnel and the Go Between Bridge to complete its Go Via Network, which also includes the Gateway and Logan motorways.

Clem7 toll increases have previously been implemented on January 1, but Queensland Motorways is bringing it into line with the rest of its network tolls, which are adjusted on July 1.

The Clem7 increase will reflect a six month adjustment in the Brisbane Consumer Price Index, while the Go Between Bridge toll will reflect an 18-month BCPI change.
