Bring back birds to backyards

BRINGING birds into your backyard is the aim of a free workshop to be held at Coramba Hall on April 28 from 5.30-8.30pm.

The Enhancing Bird Habitat workshop will look at practical ways people can stop the decline of small birds in urban areas; help bring native birds back into their gardens and create habitat for wildlife.

The NSW Environmental Trust has funded Birds Australia to develop Guidelines for Enhancing Urban Bird Habitat, through its Birds in Backyards (BIBY) program.

BIBY is a partnership between the Australian Museum and Birds Australia and after a series of workshops in Sydney; the program is heading into country areas for a further series of community education and professional development workshops.

RSVPs are essential for the workshop to Lizzie Rose, Project Officer, Birds in Backyards, email lizzierose22@bigpond.com, mobile 0414 940 284
