Pacific Highway reopens after double fatality
UPDATE: All lanes of the Pacific Highway have reopened at Halfway Creek, south of Grafton, after a fatal car crash south of Parker Road.
A contra flow had been in place on the highway while police investigations were carried out. The crash site has now been cleared, and traffic is returning to normal through the area.
EARLIER: Traffic diversions remain in place on the Pacific Highway south of Grafton following a double fatality last night.
Contra flow traffic control is in place at Halfway Creek to allow motorists to travel through the area, however delays are expected.

Motorists should exercise caution with emergency services and traffic crews on site.
EARLIER: NSW Police have confirmed two people have been killed and one person injured following a single-vehicle crash on the Pacific Highway on Sunday evening.
Emergency services responded to reports of a collision evening, and two men in the car died at the scene. A female passenger was trapped in the vehicle.
Police said a vehicle was travelling south on the Pacific Highway, Glenugie, when it left the road, crashed through a fence, and rolled just before 7.45pm..
Police from Coffs/Clarence Police Area Command were on the scene conducting inquiries.
Both southbound lanes of the Pacific Highway were closed, with a contraflow in place. Delays are expected.
SUNDAY: EMERGENCY services have responded to a single-vehicle collision on the Pacific Highway near Halfway Creek this evening, with unconfirmed reports from the scene indicating there have been two fatalities and one person trapped in the incident.
The collision occurred at about 8.01pm this evening, with emergency services and Roads and Maritime Services responding to the collision.
Reports from the scene suggest a vehicle has left the road and rolled down an embankment approximately 500m south of Parker Rd on the Pacific Highway.
The Westpac Life Saver Rescue Helicopter has been tasked to the scene as well.
Live Traffic NSW reports one of the two southbound lanes is closed, and advises motorists to exercise caution and reduce speed in the area.
