Young mum struck by car

A YOUNG mum pushing a pram has been struck by a car in Coffs Harbour’s city centre.

An Ambulance spokeswoman says the 20-year-old has been taken to Coffs Harbour Base Hospital for treatment to minor injuries.

The child in the pram was not injured.

The accident happened in Harbour Drive on the shared pedestrian zone adjacent to City Square at 12.20pm.

Two ambulance vehicles were seen screaming through the CBD to treat the injured.

Police have interviewed the driver and their inquiries are continuing.
