BOOK your tickets now and celebrate early with Zonta’s annual International Women’s Day breakfast which will be held at 7am on Friday.

The guest speaker will be Clare Martin, CEO of the Australian Council for Social Service and former Chief Minister of the Northern Territory, and all interested women are invited to attend.

Ms Martin is one of only three Australian women who have led their party to win a State or Territory election.

The United Nations theme for IWD this year is Empowering Women to End Poverty.

The Australian Council for Social Service is the national voice of low income and disadvantaged Australians, a peak body which links a broad spectrum of community and welfare services across Australia.

Clare Martin was an MP for 13 years. Before becoming a politician, she worked as a journalist and a broadcaster with the ABC on radio and television in Sydney, Canberra and Darwin.

Winners of Zonta Coffs Harbour’s Young Women in Public Affairs awards will again this year address the breakfast as women celebrate a day of great significance to women worldwide.

The Zonta Breakfast will be at the C.ex Coffs at 7am on Friday. March 5Tickets at $25 each are available at the club or by contacting a member of the Zonta Club.
