Boy on bike collides with car

A COFFS HARBOUR boy is being treated in a Sydney hospital for multiple injuries after a pushbike accident.

Police said the six-year-old was riding his bike in Arthur Street, Coffs Harbour, at 3.45pm on Sunday when the accident happened.

According to investigators, the boy rode out of a driveway in front of a parked car and then into the path of an oncoming white Nissan.

The boy was thrown from his bike and paramedics treated him at the scene.

He was initially taken to Coffs Harbour Health Campus ahead of his transfer to The Children’s Hospital at Westmead, where he is undergoing treatment for a fractured foot, a fractured arm, a fractured jaw and a suspected fractured skull.
