Get along to Bowraville markets

BOWRAVILLE is proud to announce its inaugural Producers Market happening this Friday.

The market is a new initiative in the community aimed at supporting local food growers, artists and others who have handmade goodies to sell.

It has come out of the recent Bowraville Collaborative Marketing project and is being co-ordinated by the local MiiMi Aboriginal Corporation.

The markets will kick-off at 2pm in the main street of town and continue into the evening.

On sale will be food, gifts, handicrafts, massage therapies and handmade chocolates.

Local shops will also remain open.

Visitors to town can take the opportunity to browse the huge collections in both the Bowraville Folk Museum and Frank Partridge VC Military Museum or have a look inside the historical Bowraville Theatre.

Life Education will be on-site, hosting a free family night in Grants Hall, including appearances by the popular Happy Harold.

The next Bowraville Producers market will be held on Wednesday, December 16, then on the third Friday of each month into 2010.
