Steven Bowditch’s hilarious reaction to drug test

GOLF: Sunshine Coast professional golfer Steven Bowditch has shown his lighter side, poking fun at himself online after being asked to take a drug test at the weekend.

With poor form following the Peregian Springs PGA tour event winner to every course this season, he was able to break the trend and shoot a moderate two-over par 72 in round two of the World Golf Championships' Bridgestone Invitational on Friday morning.

Shortly after, Bowditch was asked to provide a urine sample to the PGA.

He would post a photo of the letter on his Twitter account with the words "Even the tour can't believe I broke 80!"

His rich vein of form was short-lived, returning to shoot another score of 80 in round three leaving him just four spots from the bottom of golfers which made the cut.

The man dubbed the 'Big Koala' by his American-based fan page is well known for shooting down his online critics, of which there seems to be plenty of late.

Larry Menke wrote: "Dude seriously with that s*** a** remark I will NEVER play you again (in fantasy draft golf)...Less then ($)6k for a reason."

Bowditch replied beautifully with "dude if you('re) playing me at the moment your drafting is worse than my golf!"

Fellow Australian golfer James Nitties has also leaped to Bowditch's defence today.

The fact people are trolling @bowdo83 is laughable.. Great bloke and awesome golfer..WishI was half as talented as the guy. #pgatourwinner
