Bossman joins The Harbour Club

THERE'S one Boss of Australian racing and he goes by Glen.

The champion jockey is best remembered for his association with three-time Melbourne Cup winning horse Makybe Diva, but as a hoop he's won just about every major race in Australia.

Beaudesert-born, Glen Boss has had a special relationship with horses since he was a toddler.

He left school at 15 moved to Gympie to start his riding apprenticeship and after riding 60 winners in less than 10 months his career took off.

Glen Boss will be the guest speaker at The Coffs Coast Advocate's Harbour Club on February 24.

Advocate general manager David Box said local businesses have seven business days left to join the inaugural year of The Harbour Club.

"Along with your advertising/marketing campaign, membership includes two tickets to four marquee entertainment evenings featuring some of Australia's biggest celebrities and sports stars," he said.
