Bookworms party

WEDNESDAY marked the end of the 2008/2009 Summer Reading Club with 100 children attending the party at the library.

“We're thrilled to see no fewer than 250 children signing up at our libraries in Coffs Harbour, Woolgoolga and Toormina,” library programs officer Judy Atkinson said.

“This is almost 100 more than last year, which was already a great success.

“The children aged between four and 14 each received a Summer Reading Club Kit containing a bag of goodies and a reading sheet on which to record all the books they've read over the summer,” Ms Atkinson said.

At the party children played games of pass the parcel and musical arms, made themselves a book mark, and received a certificate of participation.
