Bombers clinch minor title

WITH three matches before semi finals start Boambee has already secured the minor premiership.

The Bombers overcame Coffs United 2-1 in what many believe will be a grand final preview to open up an 11 point gap at the top of the table.

In a contest played as hard as the Ayrshire Park surface Boambee's win, collected without the services of experienced striker Luke France, came on the back of two goals from Brady Parker, one either side of half time.

Lions' coach Glen Williams was happy with how much possession his team was able to control but bemoaned the fact it wasn't able to be turned into goals.

"You can't give Brady (Parker) that room in front of goal, he's devastating,” he said.”.
