
Blues recover to set Warriors tough target
THE top-of-the-table New South Wales versus Western Australia clash in Newcastle is delicately poised, with the Warriors 5-158 at stumps on day two, in reply to the hosts' 345 all-out.
The Blues recovered from their overnight score of 6-189, courtesy of wicketkeeper Peter Nevill (pictured, 112) and Gurinder Sandhu (77 off 90 balls) offering fine resistance.
The nephew of Warriors legend Tom Moody, David Moody, took 4-60.
WA suffered two run-outs in its reply, including star opener Michael Klinger (38), and Marcus Harris (46).
The competition's leading run-scorer, Adam Voges, was unbeaten on 35.
Meanwhile, Tasmania skipped out to a 200-run lead over South Australia in Glenelg. The Redbacks were dismissed for 295, with Tom Cooper scoring 104, in reply to the Tigers' 364.
Tasmania was 3-131 in its second innings at stumps on day three.
