Bluegrass Pigs wow the crowd

THEY stood on stage in singlets, bush hats and bare feet and asked if we wished our boyfriends were "hot like me".

The Pigs took Australia by storm when they premiered their highly original, cheeky and awesome bluegrass covers on Australia's Got Talent this year.

From Kanye's Gold Digger to Beyonce's Single Ladies, the trained musicians making up The Pigs - T-Bone, Stretch, Cousin Billy-Bob, Cousin Archie and Picollo-Latte Pig - are festival favourites.

They're also writers and performers of excellent originals, and they've combined it all into their new album, The Great Bluegrass Swindle, which they describe creatively as a shotgun wedding of bad-ass musicianship and a mix of crazy good pop ballads and sharp hip hop covers.

For more info check out thepigs.com.au - and get along to see them at the Hoey Moey, November 18.
