Blue skies make way for fantastic Orara Valley Fair

AFTER a run of bad weather the 37th Annual Orara Valley Fair basked in clear blue skies on Monday much to the relief of the volunteer organisers and the hordes which descended on the event.

The president of the committee Dianne Kingsford-Smith said thousands had made the trek to Dairyville.

"The weather was superb and everyone had a great time."

The fair paid due acknowledgment to the hinterland's rural history with hayrides, woodchopping, a vintage farm machinery display and an animal farm among the more popular attractions on the day.
