Blood donation drive for Coffs Harbour

DO YOU weigh more than 50kg and have had no "new ink" in the past year?

If so, you're eligible to roll up your sleeve and donate blood just like the 45 people who registered to donate during the Harbour Church Easter Blood Drive.

The Australian Australian Red Cross Blood Service at HomeBase was thrilled with the response of the drive.

"This is the largest group booking we have had in years," Greg French, the regional community relations officer said.

Pleased with the numbers, Harbour Church Blood Drive co-ordinator, Donna Fairall, is already looking ahead to 2017.

"We'll definitely have to ask for more appointments next year," she said.

"I am just so proud of our Harbour Church members who were so enthusiastic and quick to sign up. We had 16-year-olds and 60-year-olds becoming new donors."

To find out more about donating blood or to make an appointment phone 13 14 95.
